The role
You own the product engineering: invoices, hosted payment links, the API, signed callbacks, and the Bitcoin payment path. You decide how the software should work, review the changes, and ship them.
What you will do
- Design and ship the merchant product, the public API, and the payment flow.
- Keep checkout, payment links, and callbacks reliable when Bitcoin is slow, a request is repeated, or a provider is unavailable.
- Work with Bitcoin as it is used for payments: transactions, addresses, inputs and outputs, xpubs, fees, and confirmations.
- Protect accounts, API keys, and secrets. Keep spending keys out of the platform.
- Write the engineering notes the next person can follow.
Qualifications
We hire for shipped work. A university degree is welcome. Equivalent production experience is enough.
- You have led or independently shipped production web software, and you can review other people's code.
- You know Bitcoin well enough to reason about a payment: a transaction, its inputs and outputs, the address a merchant receives on, an xpub, a fee, and a confirmation.
- You have built or operated a payment or webhook system, including idempotent requests and signed callbacks.
- You are careful with authentication, least privilege, and secrets.
- You can explain a tradeoff in writing. Code, APIs, and engineering notes are in English. The public site is also published in Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Portuguese, and Spanish.
How to apply
Email support@blockack.com. Use the subject “Lead Software Engineer”. Include a short note about Bitcoin software you have shipped, and links to the code or product. Do not send seed phrases, private keys, API secrets, or passwords.
We read every application. A reply time is not guaranteed.
This role does not custody bitcoin, trade it, or run an exchange.
